HTHS junior, Vinil Polepalli, represented Southern New Jersey at the 63rd National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium in Chantilly, Virginia, from April 22nd through April 26th. The National JSHS brought together 245 high school students who qualified by presenting original scientific research papers in regional symposium held at universities and military bases nationwide. Vinil was awarded a scholarship for winning 3rd place in the category of Life and Behavioral Sciences for his research with planaria related to cancer.
